Diwali marks the triumph of good over evil, light over dark, and knowledge over ignorance. Each year, Diwali coincides with Bandi Chor Divas - the Sikh festival commemorating the liberation and victory of the sixth guru, Guru Hargobind, in his struggle for freedom and justice from political imprisonment.
In the face of such darkness and such evil, hope is a form of resistance. Joy is a form of resistance. Feeding eachother and sharing food from our homes is resistance. Our laughter, and our love for one another are forms of resistance.
